CGCC Travel Grants   ON THE AGENDA

Each year, CGCC offers funding to partially cover travel expenses (up to $1,000) of deserving students who would like to present their research results at various national and international scientific meetings, such as CSC, ACS, IUPAC, GRC, Green Chemical Institute, etc. This initiative allows them to calibrate their research against the best in the world and interact with their peers on a professional basis. The topic of the presentation must focus on at least one of the 7 research axes of the CGCC.

Competition usually opens around April. The candidacies will be evaluated by the CGCC Scientific Management Committee, and results will be communicated shortly after. To nominate someone, please send the following information to the CGCC Scientific Coordinator:
  1. Student's name/research group
  2. Student's curriculum vitae
  3. Meeting where the student intends to present + a tentative title of the presentation

 CGCC Undergraduate Scholarship Supplements

One mandate of CGCC is to support the training of students, and this training must start at the undergraduate level. Towards that end, the Centre contributes each year to the partial remuneration of students who would like to have their first introduction to academic research. These scholarships, with a value of $3,000, are available to support B.Sc. students only who are involved in projects related to at least one of the 7 research axes of the CGCC. Ideally, they should be used during the summer.

Competition usually opens around February. The candidacies will be evaluated by the CGCC Scientific Management Committee, and results will be communicated shortly after. To nominate a candidate, please send the following information to the CGCC Scientific Coordinator:
  1. Student's name/research group
  2. Transcript of grades
  3. Student's curriculum vitae
  4. Title of project

 CGCC Visiting Scientists Program

When opportunity arises, CGCC is willing to sponsor renowned academic scientists active in the fields of green chemistry and catalysis who want to visit a CGCC member for a short while, may it be as part of a sabbatical leave or simply to give lectures and engage in collaborative research. CGCC can provide partial funding for the housing and travel expenses of invited guests, when budget allows it.

FRQNT International Training Program -Cancelled 2015-2016

Members of a FRQNT strategic cluster, such as CGCC, had the possibility to nominate candidates to the International Internship program for M.Sc. and Ph.D. students who wanted to pursue abroad their research in green chemistry and catalysis for a short while. These internships aimed to foster the international mobility of the graduate students who were involved in a research project supported by CGCC. This training was an additional tool available to a strategic cluster to strengthen its position at the international level through research projects and partnerships.
